Meet the new Executive Director at Latinitas El Paso, Isis Portillo. Isis started her career as a reporter and has 19 years of experience in the broadcasting industry under her belt. With her newspaper, radio, internet, mobile, and television experience, Isis has worked and developed numerous advertising campaigns for local clients. We’re proud to have her join the Latinitas team in El Paso.

How can you use your broadcasting and marketing background in managing Latinitas El Paso as the new executive director?
My experience in the communications/entertainment field is part of Latinitas’ focus and mission. We will grow educational programs and offer additional opportunities for exposure or features.
What is your vision for Latinitas El Paso?
To be able to grow our programs and members. I want to influence women who would otherwise fall through the social and cultural cracks. Latina power! I also want to grow community support. More can be accomplished if we stand together.
Are there any programs, events, or initiatives that you’re excited to implement?
Events. We need to show the El Paso community everything we already do and unite in support so that more young ladies can benefit from Latinitas.
What is your favorite thing to do in El Paso?
Enjoying the sunsets.
